In addition to their research projects, SUDS Scholars across all opportunities are provided with a full set of data sciences networking, academic, and professional development opportunities. Scholars must attend a minimum of 75% of the weekly sessions and participate in the DSI Showcase, submitting an abstract of their SUDS research.
The sessions can be found below. We encourage Scholars to attend in person – in particular for the first data science skills week, SUDS Showcase and networking events. There will be hybrid options for some skills and professional days. In-person events will be held at the DSI – see here for location.
The DSI partners with the University of Toronto’s School of Cities for some of the professional development sessions.
